To do this in a compatible way the !PC must take complete control of the ports while it is loaded. Note that while !PC is loaded the specified ‘direct’ port is not available to RISC OS.
To enable the use of the serial port:
- Click Select on the Serial Port icon in the PC config window.
- Click in the box so that a tick appears if you want the PC card to be able to access the serial port.
- Click OK to confirm your choices and return to the main PC config window.
